The mic is on top of my camera, thats why some angles are bad.. I was aiming for the tweets/woofers in certain parts. Polk Audio TSI-200 Bookshelf Speakers. Some websites say these are Bi-amp speakers – Meaning there are 2 inputs on the back, one for the woofers and one for the tweeters. That is not the case on this set, as shown, there is only 1 input. They are hooked up to a Philips FW-C550 240Watt (120×2) Stereo. Recorded with a digital camera, so yes the audio is not accurate.
@godjesussatan This was a temp. riggging.. they are on a real receiver now and have real speaker wire, 16awg as you recommended. Im looking at the CS10 center and a sub also.. and down the road some TSI500′s and move the TSI200′s to the rear.
I have the same speaker run through a pioneer vsx 820 5.1 receiver; owm 5′s in the rear, cs 10 center, and polk sub. My only comment is to suggest you upgrade to a heavier speaker wire. The wire in the video looks kind of thin. If you move to at least a 16 gauge wire and play some Sabbath through them you’ll get a better sound from the speakers. Thin wire’s fine for cheap low powered speakers. But if you use thin wire on a good speaker your not getting your money out of the speaker.
Polk speakers are not bad.. This site has reviews of many other home theater systems..
@xexkxex My exact thoughts when I clicked to see this video. Reviewing a pair of Polks, even if not the most expensive ones, I certainly expected some classic rock band, jazz, don’t know, whatever. But not this!!
how big r they?
Speaking of owls… is it just me or does the speaker look like an owl when he turns the camera at 1:45?
awesome..can i have some specs ? do they come with the box
@MtnXfreeride im poor, lol i have to buy it in steps, first step. Marantz reciever $500 >> tsi200 pr. $300, >>hen Cs10 center $100>>>> SVS PB10 $500
@MtnXfreeride 43hz just isnt low enough for good HT sound, the sound you feel dont hear gotta go to at least 20hz
@krypekeeper 43hz is great, but the amount of power in that region is a bit weak. A subwoofer will fill it in nicely. But you may then need a center channel for better voice clarity with the added bass. I think they are great by themselves – consider waiting on the sub until you hear these.
@MtnXfreeride yea the response is only down to 43hz i believe which is still really good for stand alone speaker, i plan on getting a SVS sub when i do get my speakers
@krypekeeper great with movies, normally I found with other speakers, there is no treble to make the voices audible (vs. muffled). These work great for movies, with the only exception being deep deep tones where you really want a subwoofer to fill in (explosions for example).
@MtnXfreeride i plan on getting these in a month or so, how they sound with movies
THE ONLY HOME THEATRE BRAND FOR SPEAKERS I’VE SEEN THAT CAN TRULY PROVIDE CLARITY AND SO MUCH BASS ALL AT ONCE…..SPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE JUST CAN’T GO WRONG
@MrCurdo no sub here. And again, this was just a test system at my parents house which I had these shipped to.. not the real system powering them now.
do you have a sub running here?
What is the rsm on those speakers?
nice choice of a receiver I myself use to have a Pioneer sx-1980 miss that receiver so much.
i do see them on ebay and stuff but their mostly referbs.
@lonnyca1 yeah dont worry haha. It is attached to a Pioneer SX-1010 from 1974, its a classic.
i sure hope thats not your main hook up and for demonstrating purposes only.
my yamaha 3 way bookshelf speakers kick ass flex so much harder than that
Those poor speakers…having to suffer through that crap.
@Danklin24 owl shitty
